been mulling over this idea(pvp)
would utilizing these two skills:
[skill]prepared shot[/skill][skill]concussion shot[/skill]
produce any spectacular effect?
my attempt here looks relatively promising.
any ideas/opinions/testers?(cant get on gw for a while, a field test from someone would own)

Idea: Try Rapid Fire instead of Read The Wind. Once your target is dazed, Rapid Fire will let you hit more times giving you a better chance of interupting with the daze.

You can drop a point from WS and add it to Prot, for what it's worth...

i dotn see why not.
but, 33 ias by itself is imo worse than comparable +damage and 2x move speed

Or you could not run bad skills and take Apply.
[skill]prepared shot[/skill][skill]distracting shot[/skill][skill]concussion shot[/skill][skill]apply poison[/skill][skill]natural stride[/skill][skill]troll unguent[/skill][skill]mending touch[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

Well, if you want to focus on shutting someone down with the daze, I would go for Rapid Fire over Read the Wind. While you will probably lose a little bit of damage, more arrows gives more chances for interupts off the daze.
If you're going for damage, then go for Apply Poison as the degen will definitely be better than the little bit of extra damage from Read the Wind.

Jaws is right, the point of the short bow isnt short arc or low flight time, it's the fact that when you are running a daze or incenidary build you want as many interrupts as you can get in a short period of time. The 2 second refire rate isn't fast enough in and of itsef to guarantee a lockdown especially on a monk. Use rapid fire for the best bang/buck ias.
When you are running an interrupt centered build often damage is almost completely immaterial. It's about making your teamates take less heat or give them the opportunity to spike out a critical opponent. Think of yourself as fulfilling both prot and lockdown.

Yeah, what the hell is expertise, and why do 99% of rangers in GvG have apply and have 0 energy problems.

You have Expertise and Prepshot. If you can't handle 15e(~7e) every 24 seconds with that, you fail.
And I like how you use commas in the wrong places.
As a side note, if you want an interrupt bitch then Magebane is better now.

and why do they run one of 2 10e attacks, when i'm runnign a 25e one. i severely doubt you looked at the build.
commas separate out a clause, by the way.

i'd rather have dazed. dazed means any frontline or midline with a weapon can contribute to shutdown.

Draw Conditions. Dismiss Condition (seeing as you dont want to take Apply). Restore Condition. Mending Touch.
All pretty common.

You can't consistantly keep both monks dazed for a decent duration using an interrupt.
Smoke Trap also allows you to do more than just spam Conc Shot.
